As a consequence of the 2004 European enlargement, the Justus Lipsius building became too small for the EU Council in Brussels and was therefore in need of a serious extention and renovation. The lead design was handled by Samyn and Partners. In the final stage of the renovation the press room required new fixed seating to replace the outdated old seats. Jezet developed a bespoke design seat with integrated multimedia in the armrests to comply with current needs of this digital age. In total the new room was equipped with 339 of these seats in 2015.
