Housed in the setting of the Grand Hotel, a Second Empire building located in the heart of the city of Toulon, a cinema has given way to the Liberté. After more than seven years of technical challenges to be solved and work, the project by the architect Jean-Louis Duchier and the Fabre et Perrottet firm was launched in September 2011 thanks to the funding and support of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis, the State, the Region and the Department. Jezet equipped the theatre with seats in several spaces. The largest room in the Liberté, named Albert Camus, in homage to the great Mediterranean writer, can host theatre, dance, circus shows, concerts, conferences and cinema. It has 701 seats type Recto. With its 132 seats, also of the Recto model the Daniel Toscan du Plantier room, named in homage to the famous producer and promoter of French cinema, hosts film screenings and conferences.
